Studio Policies and Guidelines

Dance is a journey, and we’re here to support you every step of the way!

Attitude and Punctuality
Bring a positive attitude and a smile! Approach each class with enthusiasm and professionalism.
Timeliness: Please arrive on time. Students arriving more than 10 minutes late will need to receive authorization from the instructor to join the class. Late arrivals beyond 10 minutes will be limited to observation only. This helps ensure a safe and seamless start to each session.

Footwear and Hygiene
Street Shoes: For the safety and cleanliness of the studios, no street shoes are allowed inside. If a class requires street shoes, please disinfect the soles before entering.
Cleanliness: Please refrain from bringing food or gum into the studios. Keeping our spaces clean, including dressing rooms and lounges, is a shared responsibility.

Electronic Devices
Device Policy: To minimize distractions, cell phones, smartwatches, and other electronic devices must be silenced and put away during class.

Dress Code
Uniform Requirements: Follow the dress code outlined in class descriptions. Clean uniforms and dance shoes are essential for studio entry.
Hair: Ensure your hair is neatly secured to keep it out of your face during class.

Leotards and Tights: In ballet classes, tights are the appropriate undergarment; no additional underwear is necessary.

Studio Etiquette
Cover-Ups: Please wear proper cover-ups over dancewear when leaving the studio premises.
Kinesthetic Feedback: In some classes, physical corrections may be used. This is a vital part of the learning process.
Lobby Behavior: To maintain a peaceful environment, the lobby should remain quiet at all times.

Child Care
Studio Responsibility: The studio is not responsible for child care before or after class.

Make Up Classes
Missed Classes: Students may make up missed classes within 15 calendar days  (two weeks) of the original class date. Make-up classes are subject to availability and require instructor approval.
Canceled Classes: Classes canceled due to weather will be rescheduled if there are fewer than five classes held during the month.

Cancellation Policy
We understand that circumstances may change, and we appreciate your cooperation. To ensure smooth management, we kindly request a 30-day notice prior to withdrawing from any class.
If a student or guardian withdraws after the 5th of the month, the tuition for that month will be billed as per the original agreement.

Thank you for your understanding and support in making Art in Motion Dance Academy a welcoming and efficient learning space!
